This problem I will need to address at some point. LBIX crossed under my stop level yesterday. But because of the size of my account, I need to avoid day trading for now which means avoiding getting out on the same day I got in. I can get away with a few of them in a week but I have to be careful.

I was stopped out on a loss today. I should probably start comparing my Win/Loss ratio by transaction type ie. long vs short. It would be a good way to demonstrate how bad I do with shorts and a way to track progress when I improve.

Yesterday's Sale

Another sale out of a bad pick. This one was bad from the second I picked it. I am still happy with the result of my money management rules. This is typically the type of scenario where I would lost more money in the past, holding on in the hopes that situation would turn. Now I just take the hit and move on.

Limit sell-off

Market dipped below several of my stops. Since I re-adjust my stops every moning, they end-up pretty high when the rises like it did last week. I usually have a sell-off on limit orders following, specialy when the market open down like it did this morning. I am still trying to figure out if this is the behavior I want or not. It may limit some gains but it does really good at limiting my losses which I like.

Off course, the two shorts I had tried following my last post where closed with a loss, once again proving my need to improve on reading charts for short setups.

Fear of the short

I noticed I pay a lot more attention to longs as I do shorts. I really think I would benifit by following more short setups and I think I will have to force myself to do mainly shorts in the next couple weeks. Regardless, I closed a trade on KFT yesterday.

Trades for 9/13/06

Another one hits the stop. Again, I have a lot less positions open than I would like but my day job is keeping me busy which leaves me less time to follow my setups.

But overall, I am happy to finaly have a system that does not drain my account if it does not get constant attention. It make a lot less money than it could make but it doesn’t drain me either.

I like those trailing stops I have now and I like them very tight. Hitting a stop use to be somewhat of a negative event. With very wide stops, it usualy meant losing money. With my stops very close and moved in the direction of the trade every day, it locks in the profit and, like today, still leaves me with in the green instead and hitting me with a loss. I may be missing out on the biggest rally CHD will every see but atleast, that profit is in my pocket now and protected from the biggest drop CHD has ever seen.
