Limit sell-off

Market dipped below several of my stops. Since I re-adjust my stops every moning, they end-up pretty high when the rises like it did last week. I usually have a sell-off on limit orders following, specialy when the market open down like it did this morning. I am still trying to figure out if this is the behavior I want or not. It may limit some gains but it does really good at limiting my losses which I like.

Off course, the two shorts I had tried following my last post where closed with a loss, once again proving my need to improve on reading charts for short setups.

Blog readers?

I know most people rely on their blog readers a lot to gather information. I know my reader is frequently the first place I visit in the morning or the site I take peek at if I only have 5 mins of web time ahead of me on a weekend.

For a while now I have been using Bloglines which I love. Following a post by Gina on Lifehacker I decided to give the Google Reader a try. I plan on using it for a solid week before making my decision (and post) on the topic.

Fear of the short

I noticed I pay a lot more attention to longs as I do shorts. I really think I would benifit by following more short setups and I think I will have to force myself to do mainly shorts in the next couple weeks. Regardless, I closed a trade on KFT yesterday.

Mind Mapping

For some time now, I have been using mind mapping software to try and orgznize my thoughts. Up to now, I was using FreeMind, a free java based mind mapping software. I just now downloaded the free trial copy of Mindjet and I decided to give it a try. I will post feedback later…

Back from vacation

Finaly back from a somewhat long vacation over in Glenn’s from DehTrader neck of the woods. We where visiting Victoria and Vancouver BC in Canada for 10 days. Not that traveling with two small children can really be considered a vacation but I guess it’s a change from daily routine. So it’s back to regular scheduled programing and regular posts for me and this blog.
